About The Sport: Taekwondo

Although the Korean martial art has a broad history dating back more than 20 centuries, Taekwondo made it’s Olympic debut as a full medal sport in the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games.

Australian Taekwondo has the broader remit to develop and promote the sport of Taekwondo in Australia, including the delivery of National events, Performance Pathway programs and participation growth initiatives.
