An Olympic Combat Sport with a long history

The ancient sport of wrestling has a strong connection with the Olympic games. At the 1932 Olympics in Los Angeles, Eddie Scarf won Australia’s first bronze medal in the light-heavyweight division.

Through membership of CombatAUS, Wrestling Australia will integrate its high performance program delivery with other Australian combat sports. This will lead to more effective high performance programs and international success.
